Vallon de la Sache
Easily accessible from the top of the Palafour chairlift, the Aiguille Percée chairlift offers a variety of groomed pistes and off-piste itineraries.
In a breathtaking setting between the suspended glacier of the Dôme de la Sache and the spectacular rock formation of the Aiguille Percée rock, the descent is long and wild.
Easily accessible but still technical, many routes take place in the nature reserve of Vallon de la Sache where everyone can enjoy the magic of this great valley free of visual and sound pollution. Because of its predominantly northern exposure, snow is often cold and powdery in the area. Be wary of changes in snow quality between departure and arrival that sometimes suffers from low altitude. Quite popular the area is often traced but those who know well will be able to ski virgin snow for several days. Be careful because the wide valley ends with a cascade of ice that must be avoided by crossing right before reaching the altitude of 1990m. and thus return without problem on the mythical black track of La Sache and its often-frozen wall. It is also possible to avoid this wall provided you know the area well.
