Val d’Isère is a backcountry skier’s paradise. Whatever your level and your strength, we will find the itinerary which is the most suitable for your ability so that you can enjoy every descent.
There are unlimited itineraries and routes where fabulous Tarentaise landscapes are just waiting to be discovered. If you want to cover a maximum amount of vertical descent, you can heliski from the Italian summits nearby.
Our guides adapt to every level and make sure that you are safe at every moment.
SAFETY IS A PRIORITY!
Our back country ski guides are experienced and professional. They know the area and all the itineraries around Val d’Isère intimately and know when to change a plan if security demands it.
We provide avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe to each participant, and we explain how to use them before we set off.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING OFF-PISTE SESSIONS
INITIATION : You will discover suitable itinearies for introduction to off-piste skiing, learning about balance in powder snow and, if necessary, reinforcing piste technique. Each introduction session starts with a briefing about safety equipment use.
EXPERT : Your guide will choose the best off-piste routes in the resort according to the quality and the stability of the snow. Every session will start with a safety briefing!
IMPORTANT : In order to make the most of your off-piste session, we recommend that your skis have a waist width of at least 100mm! If you have hired your skis for the week, go to the hire shop the evening before to change your skis.
MEETING POINT
Fix your meeting place straight away with Misha so that your instructor/guide can meet up with you where it suits you best… they can also drop you at the end of the lesson at a location of your choice.
Alternatively, you can meet your instructor/guide, he will be waiting for you between the stairs leading to the Olympic gondola also next to the piste map.
